Hello! Thank you for finding Miss Cynthia’s Spot of Tea and Tales, my virtual tearoom on the plains.
I have degrees in English/Language Arts and Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Professional Writing. Tutored by some of the best in the business, incredible professors have become my mentors and friends. Published time after time, these are people who write fictional novels, magazine articles, web content, and they blog, too. I hope to pass along some gems and inspire others to chase down dreams and achieve lofty goals, while following this exciting path called “writing.” With hard work and tenacity, it has led me to my dream job as an editor and writer for a Native American magazine. Every day is a learning experience and I’d like to pass along some of the best and most helpful experiences.
Miss Cynthia’s Spot of Tea and Tales is an outlet where I hope to engage in restful, encouraging, enlightening, fun conversation, and laughter with Blog Land friends over a nice, hot cup of tea. (Well, occasionally it may be iced-tea.) We’ll talk about writerly subjects that inspire, transpire, and tickle the funny bone. I do hope that you’ll engage in the discussion and make your own writing mark upon the world, small or large.
All of the photographs on my blog are my own, except two. (I can’t bear to part with the can-can vintage photo on one of my “Pardon Me, But Your Slip Is Showing” posts.) The other, the ’57 Oldsmobile, I borrowed from a professional photographer friend with permission. Other than that, I attempt to intertwine my photographic art and my word art. (Don’t forget to “click” on the photos and enlarge — just for fun.)
Thank you for stopping by and do come again, ya’ll!
